Marie McGilvray: Home

Poloroid Postcard

Nashville based recording artist Marie McGilvray has been writing and performing her mysterious music since she was in her early teens.  While her modern folk/folk pop sound has been compared to Sarah McLachlan, Patty Griffin, Jane Siberry and Neil Young, her writing style and textured vibrato voice offer an original and intriguing sound.  She released her debut EP “Big Love” in 2007 and her song "Mockingbird" was featured regionally in the 2008 Presidential campaign.  She recently won the prestigious Songwriter’s Competition at Eddie’s Attic in Atlanta and has performed at the Bitter End in New York, the Bluebird Cafe in Nashville, the Folk Alliance Conference in Memphis, the Midpoint Music Festival  and Googie's in New York. To her fan base, she is known for her moving, soul-stirring songs and performances.

“Marie’s songs are absolutely amazing!"  Eddie Owen, GM of Eddie’s Attic
